Both the name “B&B” and the success of its formula, derive from the British Isles.

Bed and Breakfast, Two and Six. These simple words were written on signs hung outside English houses, to describe the services on offer (bed and breakfast) and those who stopped by these lodgings knew that they would be offered simple, basic hospitality.

Today, a lot has changed, but whilst the services on offer are greater, the bed and breakfast philosophy remains the same - to open the doors of your home to guests.

Yet there’s no need to limit ourselves to the meanings enclosed in the name, because what really counts is the human element. An overnight stay in a bed and breakfast allows visitors to experience the traditional aspects of local family hospitality, that is: simplicity, genuineness, the feel of home and the chance to quickly get to know a place, its culture, traditions and typical produce.
